PLEASE SIGN PETITION-

http://www.change.org/actions/view/affordable_spayneuter_bill_for_cats_and_dogs

THIS PETITION IS EASY AND automatically sends an email to your law makers-it is a bill if passed, surcharges will be charged for *each* animal cruelty/animal ordinance violation (in any county) to help fund low cost (even FREE) spay/neutering services throughout the State for those who *voluntarily* wish to sterilize their cat (or dog). Again, I must emphasize this is NOT a mandatory spay/neuter bill. This bill if passed WILL benefit all making spay/neutering even MORE affordable. It costs the State nothing, but has everything to gain and is entirely humane! What a deal!! Please help spread the word.

About 15 million dogs, cats, puppies and kittens get killed in shelters and pounds every single year in the United States costing tax payers $2.5 BILLION dollars every year-your tax payer's money hard at work: Killing animals. California spends a quarter of a BILLION dollars a year on dog pounds; Florida, about $100 million a year on pounds.Yearly. The numbers are growing every year. Dog pounds are funded by county monies - funds that also pay for schools and law enforcement. It costs each state $60 to several hundred million dollars a YEAR to kill perfectly adoptable pets.

"And can it be that in a world so full and busy, the loss of one weak creature makes a void in any heart so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of eternity can fill it up.." Charles Dickens.

Please sponsor and help pass spay/neuter legislation in your State, and help end the pet slaughter.
In each State, there are literally millions of homeless cats, and dogs on the streets as well so the pounds are filling up dramatically. Please-please-help pass spay/neuter bills; for economical and humanitarian reasons, but also to help protect the public from zoonotic diseases homeless animals can bring to communities.
