E.T. Adventure! (HD Complete Experience) POV Universal Studios Florida Ride

E.T. Adventure is a dark ride featured at Universal Studios Florida and formerly, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Studios Japan theme parks. The ride is based on the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It is expected to open at Universal Studios South Korea and Universal Studios Dubailand in the near future.

E.T. Adventure originally opened at Universal Studios Florida in 1990. One year later, the attraction opened in Universal Studios Hollywood. In 2001, the third installation of this attraction was opened in Universal Studios Japan. On March 14, 2003, the Hollywood version was closed and later replaced by Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride. More recently, on May 10, 2009, the Japan version was closed and later replaced by Space Fantasy: The Ride. E.T. Adventure is expected to open at Universal Studios South Korea and Universal Studios Dubailand in the near future.
The attraction at Universal Studios Florida originally featured a different pre-show which ran from 1990-2002. During this pre-show, Steven Spielberg is in a movie theater watching E.T. and informs the riders that we have volunteered to be actors in a sequel to the film. The original pre-show was discontinued, because Spielberg wanted to change it for the 20th Anniversary. It should also be noted that the original pre-show was projected onto a large single screen, while the current one is shown on multiple TV monitors.

When I was younger me and my best friend didnt understand that this ride wasnt really real in a way, so we brought our napkins and paper on the ride and through it at the cop car whenever we went on this ride together.

I love this ride, but I wish they'd go through and rehab it. It's starting to look really dated; but if they just redid all the animatronics and effects, and added some new stuff, it would be so much better.
