Called by Filipinos with the following title; Lupang Hinirang, Philippine National Anthem, Pambansang Awit, and miscalled as Bayang Magiliw.

This new theatrical version retells Philippine history through a succession of carefully-crafted and awe-inspiring reenactments of historical events from Lapu-Lapu's victory over Magellan's troops in the Battle of Mactan to the Filipinos' peaceful revolt in pursuit of democracy in the 1986 People Power Revolution at EDSA.

This project was done in close coordination with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, who recognized the Network's efforts to instill nationalism and patriotism among the Filipino people.

This cinematic version will be shown in all SM Cinemas nationwide and it premiered earlier today on Party Pilipinas. @callia17 wala. from what I know, the group of islands we know today as our country, the Philippines was not a country yet. Several tribes and chieftains rule and fight over lands/islands. The absence of a central government and the rivalry between these tribes were the reason why we were easily conquered by the Spanish na hindi naman karamihan nung dumating dito.

Yun Battle of Mactan not totally against Spain it's more of against the Spanish Monarchy conquering the islands of Phils. They just shown Lapu-Lapu with respect of him being the first Filipino hero.
