That's got to be one hell of a bicep workout. Holding your elbow at a 90degree angle for an extended period of time is murder on either arm, especially holding a gun.

Yep he's sweating, they practically ran from Buckingham Palace.
Also they wear t-shirts underneath their tunics to soak up the sweat.

These are the same full-time soldiers who form the backbone of British forces on operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The Grenadier Guards, seen here, had just returned from Afghanistan just a few months prior to when this video was filmed.
They do this until they swap roles with another regiment so the men can go back to what some view as 'real' soldiering, i.e. preparing for operations and the operational deployment itself.
