McEwan, who was one of Scotland's best ever Amateur fighters, turned pro in late 2006 (on the Marco Antonio Barrera-Rocky Juarez undercard), and is based in Los Angeles, California, were he is promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and fights out of The Wild Card Gym in Hollywood under the guidance of one of the worlds best trainers, Freddie Roach.
Craig has sparred with the likes of Antonio Margarito and Bernard Hopkins and is said to have held his own with both world class fighters.
