8 years ago it was a shock wave to me. I still feel the pain. Earnhardt was a tough nut behind a race car. I still get chills when Mike Helton said: "We lost Dale Earnhardt".

I think this was Benny's last ever appearance with ESPN, because Benny Parsons went to TNT and NBC for the 2001 season to call races with Allen Bestwick and Wally Dallenbach. he continued that role until his death of course.

To: 99boyz...It's tough (on the spectators) at times to be top dog, especiallt when you're the caliber of driver he was, personally, the only time I heard booing was that night in Bristol when he spun Labonte on the final lap.
