Judaism was very violent during the 1st and 2nd century its savagery was born from the harsh treatment received at the hands of the Romans ,The Kitos uprising in (115–117) began when Jewish exile communities across the mid east rose up in a upheaval and not only attacked the roman garrisons but also wiped out hole towns and villages of all its roman civilians sparing no one not even the suckling infants.

2 Chronicles 15:13 - KJV
"...whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death..."
Deuteronomy 21:10-14 - KJV
"When thou goest forth to war... And seest among the captives a beautiful woman... that thou wouldest have her to thy wife... thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband... if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go... but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her."

Wow...why are fundies always HORRIBLE at spelling? It's eugenics and Hitler was not an atheist, moron. Number two is not even decipherable. It's Mao, not moa....LOL... HEY MOA! NYUK NYUK NYUK... It's Stalin, not starlin. Can you not even use capital letters at the start of proper nouns? Sheesh. These Israelis are not ATHEISTS, dumbfuck!
For the two which you managed to cite which were atheists, the killing done during their regime was NOT because of atheism. Go back to first grade.

Then how do you explain why he told his followers that they wouldn't get into heaven if they didn't follow the old testament to the letter? It is just semantics on the part of christianity to distance themselves from their own work.
And yes there where a lot of honor killings. Families often took the law into their own hands if their daughters had been raped, or they had been cheated out of the dowry, etc. christ boy. Why don't you start reading up on some detail history, and some indebt works

Ah ffs man. Read up on the trail. Check for yourself. Don't believe me for it. And if many of these people where deitists in those days and dissidents to the church when they had a monopoly on thoughts. How do you think they would put themselves today with the knowledge we have of the world? You really think Galileo would have ignored facts like evolution and electricity? Get real. These where smart men, and smart men have a tendency to drop irrational thinking once evidence is clear.

Simply not true on both points.

Jesus never advocated killing or oppressing anyone. Period. And Jews have never practiced such barbarism in thousands of years so tring to compare them to muslims is ridiculous since muslims do in fact kill people in large numbers for religious purposes still to this day. And there was no Christian honor killings up until the 1500s and claiming that duels between gentlmen were a contination of Christian honor killings is absurd. Your bias is telling.

First of, the pope invited Galileo to write another book after his first one was put on the list of forbidden books. The second one the pope ORDERED his view to be predominant and prevailing in the argument. The book was supposed to be a discussion on the two views where the church standard would come out as most reasonable. Instead Galileo ignored that and made the Pope's words sound conflicting. Galileo most likely was a christian, but most others where clearly deitists. Not christians.

And there you show your ignorance of history once more. They don't stone people anymore because Jesus said: "He without sin shall cast the first stone". Instead they focused on another "He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death." Which isn't denied in the NT. You also forget that honor killings was normal up until the 1500's. And from then on dueling took over much of the same role. Your bias is telling.
Don't you bet on it. I know some fairly well-educated people who refuse to let go of their superstitions. Somehow all the evidence and all the science done by all the super brains throughout all the ages means nothing when stacked next to the story some tribal herdsman came up with 6000 years ago to explain to his curious child where the world came from.

A fanatic is a fanatic. Whether Jewish, Muslim or right-wing neo-con Christian.
