"The A-Z Of Animation: U For Unfinished"

A short clip from Paul Madden's Channel 4 documentary "The A-Z Of Animation" (1997) which describes Yuri Norstein's ongoing attempts to complete his animated film "The Overcoat". It features Norstein himself presenting a section of the film at a screening in Bulgaria. The narrator is Bob Godfrey.

I recorded the documentary off-air when it was transmitted in 1997. Thank you to Tom Lowe for transferring my VHS recording onto a digital format. I used this clip to illustrate a short talk I gave on Yuri Norstein at Cinephilia West on 16th May 2010. The rights to this clip belong to Channel 4.

I can't believe this has potential to surpass "The Thief and the Cobbler" for the longest time ever to complete a film, let alone the longest time ever taken to complete an animated film.
