  • I recently bridged my wireless connection to my local area connection in order to play xbox live. It works, however, I experience long periods of lag on both my xbox and the computers throughout my house. I discovered that my computer is only allowing 1 mbps of “link speed” to the network bridge. If I increase the “link speed”, will it reduce the lag? If so, how do I do it?

My wireless connection is running at 11 mbps.

  • coll but we do it better

  • @0560936038 from what I have read you do not need dd-wrt on your primary router to make a wireless bridge.

in a bridge, the primary router is not doing anything fancy, it is acting as before.

  • Going to try this tonight.

  • Does the hard-lined router need to have a static ip?

  • @Retego718 no. That's why it's called YOUtube

  • Thank you so very much!

  • um? um are we "black"??

  • is it important to have DD-WRT firmware on the main wireless router ? because I have Sagem branded router (MAIN Router) which is not supported by DD-WRT, also it is the only one which is supported by my dsl line and other routers does not work when I replace it. But I have DD-WRT firmware on Netgear (Second Router) which I want to make it as Wireless Repeater so is it enough for this thing to work ???? Please help

    Thanks
