In all honestly, for me, fall out isn't an issue because i do the eyes first - so any fallout can be cleaned away easily then i apply the rest of the face.

Another way is to use loose powder under the eye - this will catch the fall out and with a clean brush or fan brush dust the loose powder and fallout away.

But for many foundation comes first then eyeshadow - and then fallout becomes a real issue - especially if you are using dark colours.

Shadow Shields are a great option but sadly they are to be used and thrown away - making them expensive in the long run.

Enter Silcopad. A silicone pad that is placed under the eye to catch eyeshadow fallout. BUT - its re-useable. All you do is wash and it and - hey presto - its ready to use again. The shape of these all means that they act as a template for the otter V of the eye! This template really does work for this and can make applying makeup much easier.

I have filmed a tutorial using these - so i will post that soon so you can see first hand what they are like.

NOTE: These do work over powdered skin - but i honestly think they adhere better to skin that is not powdered. Yes there might be a little bit of "movement of foundation or concealer" but that can be easily blended back in.

They cost £12.99 here in the UK and money well spent. I bought 3 sets and i love them :)

  • your videos have cured all of my makeup problems! <3

  • It's so funny because in every make-up tutorial i watch, everybody put their eye shadow dry on, i always make my brush damp, i think that the color is much more intense (i use cheap eye shadow) and it stays on longer and better, and i have no fall out! But the tip to do your eyes first is the best!!! (I'm Dutch so sorry if my English isn't correct!)

  • @hairstylist1986 haha i do the same

  • O wait just read the info box.. Normally I read that first.. But I still would like your advise concerning this.. Because of the spray I use.. It's really hard to add concealer (when i wiped it away) or blend back together once the spray dries ( Mehron barierre spray, I know alcohol isn't the best thing for the face) and voor refreshing the skin Mac fix + I orderd skindinavia sprays, I hope they are easier to work with..

  • I have a question. I put make up on Moroccan brides which I have to create a new make up look with every dress they wear.. I only change eye make up and lips, I keep the base (face) the same.. Maybe adding just a bit of blush.. Can I use this without it causing the concealer to wear off.. I use make up setting sprays and if something gets ruined it kinda turns into a mess..

  • A normal post it note does the trick as well. :)

  • But how do you stop fallout during the day?

  • omg. The pic to this video is exactly what my eyes looked like a week ago. My friend was photographing me for her class & she said her professor loves dramatic make up, so she digs into this black shadow and plasters it on. I was like :O I should've done it myself, I tried blending it out but it was practically impossible.

  • First person I've ever heard of other than myself who puts their eye make up on first! Lol I use to always get told that was wrong,but I didn't care! Haha now I know I was right((;

  • I never knew you were supposed to do your eye makeup first, until YOUTUBE. I don't know how I ever made it out of the house. Great videos.
