@prohelipilot1 Having said all of that, I do believe the 787 will be a great success over the months and years to come. It's a fine aircraft from all I've seen and read and will offer new business opportunities to the many airlines looking for a mid-sized, long range aircraft to build their networks. Airbus will have seen the problems Boeing encountered along the way and will not want to make the same mistakes. I suspect the A350 will have a smoother EIS. To talk of obsolescence is ridiculous.

@prohelipilot1 The story of the 787 is littered with lessons in how NOT to project manage and develop an aircraft, bearing in mind the 3 year late and being well over budget. The fact the 787 suffered 7 delays must be a dubious record in itself and Boeing now face compensation claims reported to be of the order of $5B for late delivery & loss of business by the launch operators. Air India has already received $840M in compensation. As for the farcical episode with the 737, its best left unsaid

@prohelipilot1 "Boeing has done it right again"...What universe do you inhabit? LOL! the 748 Intercont'al is a complete lame duck that no American airline wants (great advert when your own country refuses to buy it) nor the world for that matter. You berate Airbus for only selling 236 A380s over 10 years yet the 748I has confirmed orders for a paltry 36 over 6yrs. Your remark suggesting the 748 is more advanced than the A380 is just laughable, given the airframe originates from the 1960s.

@prohelipilot1 In short, you are a person who is very economic with the truth as your statement about carbon footprint proves. Had you bothered to read the relevant reports, you would see the excess emissions are a direct product of individual operators' cabin configurations, not a flaw with the A380s technical specification. Reading around the statistics will save you from looking the fool. According to Airbus's production schedule, the A380 is back on track delivery wise.
-
@prohelipilot1 You spread this nonsense across several Airbus videos, yet can never list all the so-called problems & complaints when challenged. Your statement is riddled with lies & mistruths. List all the problems & complaints. Where do Airbus state the A380 is their most problem plagued plane to date? You won't because you can't can you. There are several A380 operators who have nothing but praise for the aircraft, stating it exceeds their expectations. You have chosen to ignore these facts.

Boeing has done it right again. Rather than rush a plane out on old ( 1990's technology ) they have taken their time with the 747-8 and the 787 and have the 2 most advanced airliners in the world today. Even the A350 which has already gone through a major design change ( in 2005 ) is already due for another one and it is already more obsolete than the new Boeings and it is not scheduled to be delivered until 2015.

@brandonyap1 Airbus admits to all the problems and complaints with the A380, they also admit it is their most problem plagued aircraft to date. And selling less than half the aircraft they need to sell to break even is hurting them as is paying airlines for the delay in deliveries of the aircraft. The 54 A380's delivered to date are proving to be nowhere near as efficient as Airbus first advertised the would be and are putting out a carbon footprint 28% more emisions than predicted.
