Fall asleep on a calm ride away from the big-city environments of San Francisco and Oakland, as this 8-car Fremont train travels through East Bay communities in Southern Alameda County and onto Downtown Fremont Station during the end of the morning commute in the Bay Area.

This is the first time ever, since BART's grand opening on September 11, 1972, that this Bay Fair-to-Fremont stretch of the system has been filmed, at least from a passenger's perspective. Some of the marquee visual attractions on this ride include looking from afar at Interstate 238, zipping by Hayward City Hall, passing by BART's Hayward maintenance yard, and traveling right by Alameda Creek Trail and Quarry Lakes Regional Recreational Area in Fremont.

BART's ride from Bay Fair to Fremont is typically 17-20 minutes long, and unlike journeys out to the Dublin/Pleasanton, Pittsburg/Bay Point, San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae termini, it does not go alongside a freeway.

Upon arrival in Fremont, all trains stop for a few minutes, before returning back toward San Francisco or Richmond. However, at the end of morning commutes, trains from San Francisco split in half, with one set of cars heading to the Hayward yard, and the other set remaining in service.

Bay Fair is the second of two southbound stations in San Leandro, and the last transfer point for travelers looking to switch between the Fremont and Dublin/Pleasanton trains. Fremont Station, on the other hand, geographically is the southernmost stop on BART, and one of the seven terminal points. The other six: Dublin/Pleasanton, Pittsburg/Bay Point, Richmond, Daly City, San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae.
