It's about time this song made it to CD. It's his rarest 45. Arrangement reminds me of the backings that Maxwell Davis did for Jesse Belvin at Modern Records. Jesse was a close friend of Sam's so maybe a tribute?

Man,
This cat could just sing. And like the greats, his talent and skills were in the service of the song - not himself. You get the impresssion that you would catch Sam singing like this even if the tape wasn't running. Thanks for the post.
