This video, from federal Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, shows various views of the temporary detention facility at the National Cattle Congress grounds in Waterloo, Iowa, after the immigration raid at the Agriprocessors meat processing plant in Postville, Iowa, on Monday, May 12, 2008.
The Mexican solution to illegal immigration is much cheaper and simpler. Just grab a rifle and a shovel.

I want the companies to be paying for all water, food, temp haousing and more . All paper and services including Medical. The companies should be made to pay BIG !

EVERYBODY knowledgeable of the situation, and doesn't do anything about it, is liable. Falsifying documents is a crime. Holding companies accountable is the right thing to do. But, ultimately, the person breaking the law is at fault. Just because somebody facilitates my breaking the law, it doesn't make it right. How can that be argued?

I agree with everything you said, maxx. I guess I just had a problem with the whole "Is seeking a way of life a crime?" thing. It just depends upon HOW YOU GO ABOUT seeking that way of life. That's all. No offense intended.

Daniel,
I'm not arguing that the law shouldn't be enforced. In facts, I'm arguing that the laws HAVEN'T been enforced since 2000 and AMERICAN COMPANIES have been AIDING immigrants.
Please, let's enforce AMERICAN laws on AMERICAN companies BEFORE anyone tries to leverage some fantasy of mass deportations of immigrants that have been ASSISTED BY AMERICAN COMPANIES.
When the bank manager arranges the heist, do you ONLY charge the robber of the crime?

Maxx, "Liberls" don't. Law enforcement does. Everybody equal, under the LAW. I have no beef with "people", unless they break the law. You (wrongly) oversimplify the issue. If you WANT to simplify it....break the law, go to jail/home. What other laws are you OK with being broken? I know there are many sides to this issue. But, laws are laws. Good people sometimes break laws. Good people sometimes have to be held accountable for their actions. Period.

Daniel,
Since when do "Liberls" take their fight against the "People"?

So American companies that fail to follow the law aren't liable? Is this what you excuse? Or is it the Government agencies that are SUPPOSED to enforce the law that are liable? You excuse them? Or is it the responsibility of the immigrent that seeks to carve out a way of life? I suppose if Americans were tagged, you wouldn't beef about immigrents and employment because we could show our "legal status" by rolling up our sleeves... NO?
maxx1000 3 years ago
No, "seeking a way of life" is NOT a crime. However, entering this country w/o a passport, falsifying documents and identity theft ARE all crimes. Sorry.
And, your "bigot" slander...? My cuz is an ICE agent, and you should hear the sh** the border-crossers throw at HIM and his compatriots. Talk about bigots.
Know what you're talking about, before you open you face-hole. OK?
BTW, I'm a liberal that believes that laws AREN'T made to be broken. Equal treatment under the law. Pretty simple.

Why bottled water, why portable showers, set up perm facilities. This problem isn't going away. Raid every day until they are gone, make the Agri-processing plants pay a good wage and Americans would flock to these jobs in small town America.
