@famuchic22 i have the same problem stank lint from a bad hair job with nasty brown gel about 2-3 yrs ago. yesterday i take darn good care of my hair! Yesterday in church (no less) my old friend fondled my hair and saw lint (tried to pick it) I said girl leave it....I have tried it all. So embarrassed when i got home...thinking I HOPE folk don't think my hair is dirty! I picked at them and actually cut 3 yesterday.. I am so distraught.. I feel you.

It's ok sista! I truly do feel yo though. I just noticed the same thing myself not to mention thinning! It's not your fault so do take it so personal. Sometimes we forget about our sweaters, gloves, other things we come into contact with on a daily basis that may cause lint or attract things. But, the best advice I can give you from someone who just loves your locs, DONT PICK AT THE LINT...it'll just tear them apart. Stay strong in your journey and thanks for keeping it real!
Bless!

I found out the problem wasn't lint its actually Mold/Mildew caused from Improper rinsing and drying after washing hair and irregular shampooing... Yeah I know my feelings were hurt too... :(( I'll send you the link.. I hope it helps...

koko! I'm right there with you lady!!! I feel exactly like that right now.. I saw the BronzeGoddess's video and did the ACV / Baking soda cleanser and it fizzed a ton, but it didn't work out the way it worked for her. I'm switching my regimen to only using oils for maintenance, so hopefully that should help. Let me know if you've resolved the issue.

Shout! The new year and the lint was a deadly combination when struggling with a lint problem. I could have easily cut them and started the year fresh. I tried picking with a pin, pencil and markers to get rid of the lint and NOTHING WORKED! Mad about it. I am committed to my locs so I share your pain and feeling of betrayal. Thanks for voicing it!

I feel you, everyone who's locked has lint in them. The only way I know to get rid of lint is to comb it out. I only do it to get lint out near the tips. Then comb twist the ends back together. hope that helps.
Honey! No one will ever notice that unless they get right on ur head. But I knw thats not the point. U notice it and it bothers u and thats fair. My suggestion. Wash ur hair more often. Also, start picking out lint on the ends of ur locks. The lint in the middle of the loc is just lint that has grown and been groomed into the loc overtime. Also, you can dye them black which wont hurt the hair. Or overlay them with hair weave. I knw thats not the cool thing to do, but it works. Goodluck boo.

I have locs and I noticed that if you use a lot of products in your hair it holds lent. I stick with oils because it rinses better. I don't really have lent issues. I don't know all of what you use but maybe try just oils to keep your locs maintained.
