Are we to worship God (Sabbath) or man (Sunday). I pray that you really study your bible because the Sabbath is the day of the Lord and Satan is using the only commandment that shows who God is by changing it.

@Jondadon2006-- and i am not disagreeing with you on what day is the Actual Sabbath... all im saying is why do you guys base your WHOLE religion around 1 paticular day? What about the other 6 days out of the week? And further more i would not be in a religion FASELY declared that to Jesus Christ would return to Earth between the Spring of 1843 and the Spring of 1844. No man now the day nor the HOUR......

Like I said in order to understand the Sabbath, you must not look at the surface.

Eg.

God worked 6 days and HE rested the 7th which is why it is Holy! Not me or SDA but God!

Now if the Sabbath is Holy, how do I wretched sinner, keep something which I am not: Holy??

Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath which means He must be Holy. Is Jesus Holy? Yes! Why? Because He never sinned! So in order for me to keep the Sabbath Holy, I must be bathed in the righteousness of Christ!

So when I think of Sabbath and keeping it Holy, I must place my mind, throughout the week, in a state of holiness in order to keep it Holy. Just the same as we need to get ready for the second coming! We can't be sinning everyday and then when Christ comes, we say I am ready. The same with Sabbath! I have to keep my mind focused on God so that I can easily ease into the Sabbath!

What you do on the Sabbath shows how your mind was in the week!

It goes so deep my friend! I hope this enlightens.

@Jondadon2006 Now if Jesus was physically walking this earth today and we asked him, Jesus which day is the correct day to worship… Im 100% sure his response would be they that worship me must worship in spirit and in truth, he would totally ignore the “religious” question.

What is truth?

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. This is why in Rev 14:12, the TRUE worshipers have the faith of Jesus and KEEP His commandments. True worshipers believe that Christ can give them victory over EVERY single sin.

Now does your church teach the truth if God's law is truth including Sabbath? Something serious you should ask

@Jondadon2006 -- The law had no power why do you thing no one could keep the law.. IT WAS POWERLESS.. That’s the whole purpose for the Grace age.... Look I’m not here to go back and forth over which religion is right or wrong.. All I know is if you have not been born again it doesn’t matter which church you attend, which day you worshiped...Born again meaning being baptized in Jesus name and Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Tongues is another subject but it was but babbling. Paul says that He would rather speak in few words than speak when no one understands.

Friend it is pointless in keeping it in Human strength which is why Christ in you is the hope of Glory Col 1:27. This is where your faith comes in. Can Christ truly save you from sin? ALL sin? This is exercising the faith that is so long needed. If Christ overcame and He lives in us (which is true evidence of being born again), why doubt?

Matt 11, you need to read the context. Where is the rest? The next verse!

Mat 11:29 **Take my yoke** upon you, and **LEARN OF ME**; for I am meek and lowly in heart:..

Then it says **AND ye shall find REST unto your souls.**

Jesus says the rest is in His life! Following His character because sin does not bring rest

"Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example..Who did NO SIN, neither was guile found in his mouth:"

You need to remember that they became fanatical in their teaching which is why Jesus came to straighten it out.

If you saying Jesus broke the Sabbath, (the LORD of the Sabbath), what example has He left for us?

The reason for the Sabbath is because we cannot make ourselves Holy. Only He can. Thats why we keep it. Its His righteousness

@brianhyde63 Christians are followers of Christ, to say that He was a Jew teaching Jewish law is dangerous. You are negating His teachings and you can take or leave whatever you like. If you are a Christian that ignores fundamental ideas and laws that Jesus taught, then how can you be a Christian? The 7th day was the day God Himself rested on after creating the world. Then He commanded that we rest that day. When was it changed?

@AHaltiwanger Wrong. Christians are not under the OC law; It was given to the Jews and never to the Gentiles The Sabbath is the Sign of the OC. The NC sign is the Lord's Supper. If you want to keep the sabbath then you had better get it right and start offering sacrifices and following all the other rituals connected with it The so-called "sabbath-keeping" of some today is not only not commanded of Christians but makes a farce and a mockery of the observance required under the Law of Moses!.

@nystagmus2346 Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets He declared all was finished at the Cross. Under the New Covenant He writes the law on our hearts as it was written on His heart Jeremiah 31; Psalm 39. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to us and by His Spirit imparted to us by grace through faith. The Ten Commands are a mix of moral and ceremonial law given to Israel alone Christians are not led by law but by the Spirit thro the "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8)
