Yeah, great video. I had a magpie try that on me flying the Auckland west coast.
Little bugger was going for my wingtips to try and take me out.

never new you cud turn around in a hangglider and still fly as it shud change cg must be tricky flying like that

they seem to go for anything flying rc planes,hangliders lol pigeons tend to flock round my rc till i take em out mu hahaha

Yes he (or she) was pecking mostly my feet but would go for the top of the wing now and then and chew the trailing edge.

In New south wales, Newcastle. The site is Merewether. If you want to see the bird you will have to be quick. Nesting season lasts for another 4 weeks, then he will be back to normal.

What is amazing is not the magpie attacking but the pilot pivoting around and flying "backwards".
