VEGAS TACO FESTIVAL APRIL 30TH, 2011

The date is set for April 30, 2011. The location is Town Square. Everyone from local restaurants to amateur competitors are signing up for their chance to taco-battle it out for $5,500 and bragging rights for making "The Best Taco in Vegas."

The Vegas Taco Festival has two components—a competition for cold hard cash and an all-out taco extravaganza for attendees, with over 50 types of tacos being served at only $2 each. You simply pay the $10 cover charge, snatch up some food and drink tickets and have at it. Inside, there's a huge Kid's Zone, a hot chili pepper eating contest, a local bartender Margarita Challenge, and a Boutique Tequila Expo Tent featuring over 30 different brands of premium tequilas and over 100 types, for only another $10.

The 30 competitive taco teams will cook in four categories—chicken, pork, beef, and seafood—while sometimes also serving salsa, guacamole, and anything goes tacos.

Those who want the full enchilada can opt for the $75 VIP ticket. Inside the comfy VIP tent, you'll find nice furniture, TVs, a private food experience, and specialty margaritas. Speak of, you'll get a wristband that's good for up to 10 drinks!
