This video is a recording of a sequential execution of the standard gnuplot demos. See for yourself how competent gnuplot is.

If you like some of those beautiful plots, give it a try yourself -- I'm sure you'll like them more :)

  • GnuPlot is the greatest tool for scientific plotting.

  • All the complaints about "gnuplot not working right on win7" can be solved by installing some linux distribuition and using gnuplot in it. I recommend Ubuntu, very easy and friendly distro. ;)

  • how do you do the 0:28 one?

  • can you get the coordinates of a point just by clicking on the point?

  • for a command line tool, gnuplot is reasonably simple yet powerful.

    Long live gnuplot!

  • Beautiful, except for the static noise, this would go good with some sweet music.

  • Under Win 7 and gnuplot 4.4.2, wxt terminal seems to freeze the app. I had to change to windows terminal. The same effect under Slackware 13.1, I had to change to X11 terminal.

  • I <3 GnuPlot

But it isn't that userfriendly. I use Windows 7 and for some reason the help funktion is disabled^^

And saving images is a pain in the a**.

But it was usefull many times and is a true pal

  • not at all!

  • Very nice. Apparently I am not the only other person who actually uses gnuplot!
