yes, I am aware of that and true about different individuals having different make ups. Now with the optimum weight, isn't that something that would change for a person as they become a better lifter? You have to agree that machines are not as good as good for developing strength as free wghts that require stabilization. From my half ass research on bbs I've determined that the reason why they do super slow and machines is not because they're more effective, but because they're safer.
