My Instructable about this mod: http://www.instructables.com/id/Foot-on-pedal-True-Bypass-crybaby-wah-mod/
-------------------------------

My modified Dunlop Crybaby wah GCB-95

- True Bypass (the wah does no longer affect your guitar signal when turned off)
- Red LED to see if the wah is on or not
- Special Foot-on-pedal mode. It has a momentary switch that switches the wah on as soon as your foot hits the pedal. Remove your foot and the wah goes off. The green LED indicates that the wah uses this switch. The regular stomp switch is bypassed in this mode.

Yes, my guitar is a bit out of tune ;)

  • Can you hear the momentary switch when you use it ? I think i can hear something inthe video throughout.... is that the momentary switch?? Does this make the pedal noisy in any way?!

  • @theSeepersaudShow

What you hear is the mechanical click of the switch, not a signal click. Its doesn't add any noise at all, and i've used with everything from clean to high gain stuff

  • can you do this on the CAE wah?

  • @EarlMendoza03

I don't know anything about that wah, how its wired etc. I don't think it's impossible, but the wiring will probably be different because it already includes true bypass. So its up to you to open that wah and check how everything is hooked up.

  • Can you do this mod without the led and switch on the side? I basically just want to mod a crybaby classic with the monetary switch.

  • @DjVinceALot: Sure, you do have to mod the schematic a bit of course. You need to connect the green and purple wires of the mode switch's center pins to the right pins. You can also take out the whole stomp switch with all its wires, but keep in mind that the dark green and blue wires still have to connect to the board and pot. You can leave out all the leds and resistors as well, and you don't have to tap power from the board anymore.
