To all of you who think your self fit to make fun of Aikido, I've studied more martial arts styles than most of you could name and Aikido isn't a joke. All martial arts styles have a set of underlying set of principals, in Aikido the main one is that you don't need to hit your opponent in order to win. Besides its not a real fight, only in america with such a thing as MMA will you see people actually breaking the other persons arm, in most other martial arts your also taught to respect eachother

just cause a person does aikido dont mean there good at it.youve spard against ppl who dont know what there doing.this art was used by samurai in futal japan.go pick a fight with someone who knows it well and your outcome will be very diffrent.there are no supirior arts,only supirior fighters.i man can beat you with one arm if he knows how to use it right so to so a style is bad is stupid.its all about the person using the style.goes to show how much you realy know about martial arts.

Purely a demonsrtation art, has ZERO use in the real world. Go ahead, find a fight (mma, street, self-defence) where aikido is utilized, but you will find none. Aikido is useless, I've sparred against them.
