A combination of Poni wearing the goat horns, and TERRIBLE officiating lead to a Leafs implosion that lost them the game.

  • For team or glory?

you gotta be fucking kidding me.

like seriously for 1 thing sundin has out his heart and soul into this team, and its pretty obv that he wants to be there, i mean if he didnt why the hell would he stick around for this his 13th season in the blue&white and they've yet to win a cup?

    my point exactly.

I didnt watch the whole game but it was TERRIBLE officiating. like my god.

but thats what you get like you said when their trying to promot an underacheiving market.

  • Now, now. There's no corruption in the NHL.........PFFFFFFFAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHA. I can't take a league seriously when they turn down an offer for the Preds by Jim Balsillie that was like $50million more than the offer they ended up taking.

  • There's a new Hockey News??!?!?! I get mine so late....just got my European Edition yesterday. Do you live in Toronto? Is that why you get it so early?

  • Yep I live in Toronto. I wasn't aware we got it first. What's the European addition like? I'm so behind on my Elitsarian league.

  • that game sucked, but this video was funny

  • LOL JERK LIST

  • I know....they just didnt sell to him because they didnt want the team relocated.end of story.

  • I swear it's true. Pittsburgh has 12.6. But anyway, Sundin's a UFA, I know Steen's an RFA, I think Wellwood is, too and maybe Stajan. Believe it or not, the player we have signed for the longest term: Blake. Here's something I noticed though. Kulemin the Russian prospect is slated to make like 1.3mil or something. So SOMEBODY has to go, because the Leafs don't have that room. They need to free up about 800,000. I got 1 word for the Leafs if they're not at LEAST in 8th by playoff time: sell.

  • Oh man, you and me both brother :) We'd need to free up like 9 or 10 mill for him plus more to resign our other guys...who's up for free agency this summer? Sundin is, right? But yeah its not happening any time soon, but he DID say he'd like to come to Toronto once :P You said Pittsburgh had 12.6? Now THAT would be scary!

  • I'd die of happiness for Ovechkin on my team. BUT, Ovechkin will have a HUGE impact on the trade deadline. Why? Washington's going to have to pay him $10mill a season, no less. They have 14mil cap space but they're poor. If I wanna make Ovechkin an offer sheet, I need to be able to ensure I have cap space. Not many teams have $10m free. This year's trade deadline may become a selling BONANZA. Although with an offer sheet, the team has to give up (for that price) 4 1st round picks.
