A Pan Am westbound freight at Ballardvale around 9:00 on a Friday. The engineer really gunned it to the speed restricted stone arch bridge at Lowell Junction while the back of his train was finally off the other speed restricted bridge just past milepost 22.30. 4 units where leading: Ex. KCS SD40-2 #601, a Helm Leasing co. SD40-2, and a couple Guilford GP40's

  • The first one is an ex-KCS that was delivered a few months ago and renumbered MEC #601, the second one is a loaner from HLCX.
