  • Very lovely Budgie.

I could be wrong, but the mutation could be of Type 2 Yellow-Face White-based Spangle, Opaline with Clearwing.

    Smart and affectionate.

  • @lundfoci You might well be correct! I got him from a ramshackle bird shop in the north of Tokyo. More of a giant shed than a shop, in fact. That was when he was a few weeks old, and he has been in, or on, my hand for almost 5 years since then.

Do the different strains of budgies have unique characteristics, apart from colouring?

  • I have never seen such magnificient colors on a budgie.

  • He's happy to hear that!

  • what a lovely bird, he's a little chatter box, do you leave the radio on for him?

  • Yes - he used to have the TV on all day (Discovery Channel), but now he is strictly a BBC World Service radio chap.

  • Shawn, my first budgie, once said to me: "I am your God." After that I made sure he didn't listen to any religious broadcasting while I was out!

  • i had the radio on in my room with my 4 month old paraket and i left the room and came back and she said "im in love with a slipper" i was like wtf

  • Budgie voices are just too funny

  • press 2......listen to what the TV says lol

  • Amazing color combination and another proof of genetic random mutation.

  • Waiter!, there is a budgie on my icewater!, bring my another glas!...

@snoogly, I thank you for a nice video. That budgie reminds me of my last budgie which did the same thing while sitting on my shoulder.

  • que lindo gente!!!

  • @snoogly OH my I couldn't help but laugh. Image a little bird saing I AM YOUR GOD. Too cute! My budgies never talked. My cockatiels on the other hand I can NEVER shut them up.

  • @AIRMAN1479 My budgie got caught by my cat... I brought him to a regular dog/cat vet, and I was SOOO lucky he lived! He had a 4% chance of surviving the night, and he DID! He had a deep cut that almost punctured his air sac. Stupid cat. She's sitting right next to me :-/

  • @XxjenxneyxX My budgie once said (I SWEAR he said this) "beep beep beeep beeeeeeep you!" to me, and I looked around at him, and when he noticed I saw him, he crouched down, flattened his feathers and said "elephaaaant!" and I've never left a radio or TV on for him...

  • I just love the little trumpet volley he gives at 2:27- it floors me, it's so hilarious!!!
