This is a great idea while camping. Just put a parabolic mirror on the ground pointed at the sun and place a cast iron or dark colored pan over the focal point. 5 minutes gets you a fried egg. Although it would be easier with a tripod arrangement. Holding your arm up with your other arm works just fine in a pinch
