Krista Tippett spoke with Walter Brueggemann, renowned scholar and author of "Prophetic Imagination." The renowned Old Testament scholar and Professor Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary is credited with shaping generations of ministers and sermons with his prolific interpretations of Hebrew text and his poetic books of prayer. In this interview, Krista draws out his passion for using ancient texts to guide our modern human experience, and talks about poetic imagination in Scripture.
Brueggemann mentions some names of prophets in our times - King ( Martin Luther King), Bishop Tutu ( Desmond Tutu) and 2 others: Coffin and Berrigan. Does he mean William Sloan Coffin and Daniel Berrigan?
