i agree with rudran u should make an in depth like 2 part lesson on stash cus i can play the first half of the song relatively well but i want to learn to play through the whole song with fluidity like that and i cant find a tab that plays it this same way please please make another video, by the way i followed phish for the spring and summer tour of 2009 and have loved them for years, anyone that says phish isnt good have clearly not done their homework, or just dont understand the music.

someone please tell me what kind of guitar this is
-
what kind of guitar is that you are using?
Nice playing there, only wondering what you are doing when the singing comes in, that's like, sloppy. Almost as if you don't care...

@lalrsrbf Trey doesn't really do much during that section; it's mostly piano. I could have been better though.

Please take one riff at a time and then play that slowly a few times. That way, guitar noobs like me can learn to play Phish :)

@rudran7891 I may do that, although, it takes quite a while to do that, but since this video has so many views, I might as well. Look for it in the next couple weeks.

Great vid man! Do you know what scales Trey normally uses? Cause I've been practicing my scales a lot and I'm kinda stuck. If I could learn to play like anyone, I think it would be Trey or Derek Trucks. I just love their styles. Any tips would help bro. thanx.

@vatopself Basically, you can play with the F major scale which is the same as the D minor scale. If you imagine you are in D minor then you add the augmented seventh note to add tension for when you finally play the tonic. Trey never plays in just one scale because he has such a good understanding of interval relationships, but he does often start in one scale until something moves him to add notes and effectively change scales and key. Start in D minor (which is the F Major scale). Good Luck
