Helena and Hermia catfight

Helena battles Hermia in Honolulu Waldorf School's production of "Midsummer Night's Dream (with a twist)." The show opened on Thursday, May 18 and closed Saturday, May 21. It was staged under the stars and against the backdrop of the shoreline at 5257 Kalanianaole Highway.

It was a rare dinner theater.

The play, directed by local screen and TV actress Jeanne Rogers, was set in modern day with a touch of burlesque. The ocean was so close to the stage that the lapping of waves could be heard between lines. The backdrop of the night sky over the water was breathtaking.
