THE Israelites often broke God's Commandments. They married pagans and even worshiped false gods. Out of pity for them, God sent holy men to lead them back to Him. These were the prophets. They also foretold the coming of the Savior. The greatest of the prophets were Elijah, Isaiah, and Jeremiah. The prophet Elijah lived when King Ahab was ruling Israel. This king had married a pagan, Jezebel, and had built a temple to her god, Baal. Ahab also adored Baal. Elijah was sent by God to warn Ahab. He said, "To punish you for worshiping idols God will not send any rain for three years. There will be a famine." With the country suffering from a great famine because there had been no rain for three years, God sent Elijah back to Ahab. He told the king that the famine was a punishment for his sins. The king's wife, Jezebel, had killed almost all the true prophets of God. In their place she had put several hundred false prophets to sing the praises of her false god. Elijah asked Ahab to gather these false prophets on Mount Carmel. The people also gathered there. Elijah said to them, "If the Lord is God, you should obey Him. But if the god of Jezebel is the true god, then follow him." Elijah then asked for two oxen, one for the false prophets and one for himself. He said to these prophets, "You call upon your gods, and I will call upon the Lord. The god that shall answer by fire consuming the sacrifice will be known to be the true god." This plan seemed very good to the people.
The false prophets laid the ox upon an altar. They called upon their god from morning till noon, but there was no answer. They cried still louder and even cut themselves until they were covered with blood. But no answer came. Then Elijah told the people to gather around him. He put wood on an altar and laid the ox on the wood. He poured buckets of water over the sacrifice. When the hour of the evening sacrifice came, Elijah prayed, "0 Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, show this day that You are the true God of Israel." As he was praying, fire came down from heaven and burnt up the sacrifice and the altar itself. When the people saw this, they fell down to the ground and cried, "The Lord is God! The Lord is God!"

  • I am a Christian. I am not of a denomination. I am a believer in the whole of scripture, and worship God in spirit and in truth, as the Lord himself commanded.

I began to watch this video, until the first few seconds displayed a text which said, "The real Jews were black".

I immediately turned off the video. Only a fool could believe something so ridiculous. There is no such thing as a black person. And to confuse the africans with the hebrews is just foolishness. Ridiculous...

  • @wordprophet you're an idiot if you research hard enough you will find the real Jews who fled from roman persecution into Africa were black and were blending with the Africans because they were black aswell. lets go into scripture. Lamentations 4:8 Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick.

  • @SethEckos

Sir, anyone who begins his discourse with slanders like "you're an idiot" is no man of God, and I would tell you of a truth that if you would fear God and obey him, he would give you understanding of the scriptures. As long as you are filled with pride, hatred and contempt, you will never know God's word.

A good understanding have all they that do his commandments, saith the scripture. The scriptures you refer to are describing people that are perishing by thirst and hunger...

  • @wordprophet um dude, that scripture is describing how the Jews(Judah) looked like.. there visage(appearance) is blacker than coal.. wouldn't you agree.. when white people starve they become pale? and when black people starve they become darker? here's a another one Lamentations 5:10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

  • @SethEckos

I am not a dude. I am a man. And there is no such thing as a white person or a black one.

Every man that has ever existed is brown, as the dust from whence the body came. You and I are brown on the outside. The devil has lied to you, sir. Please seek Jesus Christ and live. Repent and be baptized in his name, and he will fill you with his Spirit...

  • @wordprophet Okay man, i've yet proved to you the Israelites are Negroes dark skinned people and you havn't other wise through scripture. and when you said we came from the dust of the ground you should double check on that because the soil is a dark brown to dark brown :)

With all due respect, it seems as though you have never met a Christian.

I have not judged any people; I have simply stated that it is foolishness to believe something so ridiculous as that some people are black, and that Hebrews are Cushites.

It is like the "heaven's gate" cult who believed they could go to heaven on a spaceship by committing suicide.

Please search the scriptures, my friend. I am here for you.

  • @wordprophet I was scrolling down the comments to see what kind of impact this film has on people when I came across your comment. First of all Christians don't judge people and they most defiantly don't accuse people of being foolishness for not believing in what they think and even though it was strange to see that comment, I don't see why it should be much of an issue to you anyways if you are a strong believer in God.

  • @SethEckos Yes you are correct!:)

  • @SethEckos who is this cartoon by? Who is the publisher or what is the release date?

  • Jews are not black.

This is a serious abuse of scripture and an error that is brought about by people who have not studied the bible in depth. It is a very popular error in many African American churches started by godly men who themselves are not studied. The geneology of the nations shows a seperation between the Hebrews and the people of Cush. A first year studied can find this. There is no scriptural basis for this proposition.

  • @SethEckos

You greatly err because you do not understand the scripture you quoted.

I believe it was not your intent to misrepresent the scripture, but you have.

The verse your speaking about people who are starving. Famine makes your skin turn black like coal.

Therefore you greatly err and mislead the people and misquote GOD.

  • Elijah looks like Vegeta's hair

  • @SethEckos your thinking is too literal

  • @SethEckos

And I have besought you in love and patience to seek Jesus Christ and live. You have refused. That is your choice...although not a wise one.

    So long.
