An underrated Czech composer Josef Suk (1874-1935) was a husband of Anton Dvořák´s daughter. His late works are in the same quality like Mahler´s Symphonies (Asrael Symphony, Summer Tale, Ripening, Epilogue).

Intermezzo - Blind Musicians
Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Sir Charles Mackerras (conductor).

Recording of DECCA.

  • I was looking for the intermezzo - thanks for posting this so I can pass it along. Suk was a genius truly under rated.

  • Haunting and lovely. Thanks for the upload
