you got haf 932 ? so how did and where did you find it with silver colour?and E8400 goes more than 3.6 stable . on air it goes to 4.0 ghz stable but on water there should be something like 4.6 to 5 ,but all depens on your motherboard. best board for oc an E8400/e85000 is asus p5q deluxe .

i would shoot it up to 4.0 but my mobo wont let me, and w/o ss capacitors and bios options i wont take a risk, ( i did and almost fried mine)

its asus P5Q DELUXE not just P5Q!!what mbo you got now? and i find on internet that some e8400

CPus have a max at 4.0Ghz (E8400 batch: q805a226)<--- check that on a box of CPU or on top of CPU .
