The Lexington High School Band of Lexington, South Carolina performs at the 1992 State 5A Championships Irmo HS. The band was 5A State Champion with their show, The Planets, by Gustov Holst, arranged by Bob Cotter. Under the direction of Mr. Dan Ward.
We Dorman kids always looked up to you bands like Lexington, Sumter, and Irmo. I think it was a big factor in Dorman's improvement in the 90's....then, bands became what they are now...

From an old Summerville grad (82-85) this was a great performance. Great marching and great music! Those were the days of the bands. I almost can't watch much anymore. I quess I'm just old school!

Are lexington and Irmo the same band? Because I saw Irmo at a competition in 04 and was blown away. Of course, we were too small to be in their class! Fabulous..

I was there, too, on Mellophone! If you were in the Cat Band, you should go to Facebook and join the group called "Lexington HS Cat Band Alumni (SC)." I've got many videos from over the years posted. Also, you can reconnect with old band friends, too!
