Located in Argentinas northernmost province of Jujuy, the Quebrada de Humahuaca is a stunning multi-colored canyon which runs 200km and is dotted with tiny colonial villages. The first town we visited in this region was Purmamarca, which boasts the Cerro de Siete Colores (Hill of 7 Colors). We then spent some time exploring the mountains and canyons around Tilcara, the largest town in the Quebrada. We continued north towards Bolivia to the town of Humahuaca. Here is the oldest mechanical clock in South America.

  • Been here in 1999, Amazing!!

  • @TCM53 I was there in 1999 too. I think it was the month of July. When were you there?

  • Actually, I'm not wrong. We head north "towards" Bolivia. I didn't say Humahuaca is "in" Bolivia. Anyway enjoy your trip.

  • I have visited three times the Northern Region of Argentina. It is wonderful and I write this to thank-you a great deal!!!! Just sitting down for a while enjoying a cinnamon and cayote ice-cream, looking at snow-covered mountains even in summer...Those coloured mountains, the gentle people all around and that sun!

Your video is marvellous and thank-you for visiting Argentina! Long live Jujuy all year long! ¡VIVA JUJUY!

As an argentinian myself, I'm embarrassed by that guy's comment, so unnecessary.
