Thanks to the dedicated guidance of the Dow family, the Gardens have grown to 110 acres. The Gardens are unique and beautiful in each season. While one visit is impressive, the gardens are best experienced by repetitive visits to experience the seasonal changes.
The gardens come alive in April and May with color from the extensive plant collection. The landscape opens with blooms from magnolias, forsythia, spring bulbs, and more! The colorful flower show continues in summer with a profusion of blooms throughout the gardens.
Enjoy the fall foliage in early autumn and the textures of the trees as the leaves fall away. Cooler temperatures make the gardens a perfect destination for an autumn walk. Dow Gardens is open year round with a spectacular winter landscape.
In December, the warm conservatory is filled with many varieties of Poinsettias.
