  • where is part 2??

  • @HiFiReviewer Part 2 is coming up, followed by an episode about Tokyo and the Tokyo Headphone Festival. We were delayed by our work on our gift guide, which you can download for free on Head-Fi.org.

  • Is it just me or does jude practically recommend every single set of headphones he comes across?

  • @AlbzAbert That would suggest that the headphones I discuss in the videos or forums represent every headphone I come across. More headphones and other audio gear come through here than I could ever cover in the videos--*far* more. Different things motivate different people; but what motivates me to step in front of the camera more than anything is sharing my feelings about (and experiences with) products I think sound great, products that excite me.

  • lmao omg, jude, you would look JUST LIKE a teletubby with the SRH-840's! I sense some photoshop action coming :P. The HE-6 could be driven with a speaker amp (Pass Aleph 3) and sounds amazing.

  • I guess Durability = can be broken and repaired easily.

  • Hmmm... I wonder what type of signal modulation the transmitter and receiver of the sen 220 uses.

  • I'm loving my V-moda M-80's.

  • Usually agree, but LCD-3 best value? Essentially physically the same, same lesser comfort levels compared to HD800/T1 etc. Bulk of the extra cost is a diagram change which might actually cost LESS to manufacture. New leather cups then? Imo this is poor value. I'd imagine profit mark up over LCD2.1's is considerable, audio differences aren't even drastic. Fine tuned but still lacking the soundstage of competitors. Then there's the manufacturing indiscrepancies (check Head.fi forums). Poor pick.

  • Part II:

    my questions:

-in which shops can i listen to these headphones? i live in germany and the "huge" electronic markets usually dont have them or u cant listen to them, but id like to

-im studying so the lower the price the better, are there special webplatforms like ebay or amazon where i can purchase HIFI equipment cheaper?

-i use an old ipod mini, does this has an influence on the sound ive heard they werent hat good that time

-i like all genres mostly funky stuff

    thank you in advance

  • I need advice, im searching for portable headphones mainly for skating, bikeing and walking through the city. i currently own an AKG K142 HD which i use for studiomonitoring and listning to music at home, and its one of the few headphones i listened too which i really like the sound of, but they are very large and inhandy for things like i mentioned. ive watched some of your vids and took notices:

    -sennheiser hd 25 1 II

    -V-Moda M-80

    -beyerdynamic dt 1350

    -shure srh 840

    Part II following......

  • Just received my V-Moda M-80's and I'm.. Speechless!

I was using the Sennheiser MM-450 for about a year now and asked jude from Head-Fi if there would be a big difference between the (very good) MM-450 Bluetooth Headset and a wired one out of this price range.

Thanks to you, I bought the M-80 and.. My tracks sound so much better with these, I can hear sounds I've never heard before - they were just not there with the other headphones I had!

Thanks! And great praise to the guys at V-Moda!

  • The 009 is indeed a bloody damn good headphone, but at that price point of 10K and onwards I personally would start looking at speakers..
