A video of our first 10 minutes in Oneonta New York. This was kind of a big moment for us because we were visiting Oneonta from Missouri, deciding if we should move there. Not an entertaining video to watch, but those familiar with Oneonta might find a first time perspective of the town interesting.

  • You moved here without all the college kids not there yet, that must have been a shock when they all appeared in August!!

  • @xoAngelicDemise Yeah, that week we visited in July, we went downtown on the weekend to check out the scene, because I heard how busy it was. And it was deserted. Then August rolled around and it was totally different.

  • hey where on riverstreet do you live?

  • im from oneonta that huge hospital they pass by is my birth place!

  • great video do u live here now? it's a nice town i live here very nice town for it's size.

  • i was born in oneonta, and it was neat to see an outsiders perspective. neat vid! btw, right when you mentioned about not so many bars in town, you drove by what was once a street on the right called broad street, it was full of bars till "urban renewal" tore out all the old buildings and the street disappeared in the late 70's. the old electric trolly ran down chestnut street then down main street then turned down broad street. back in the 30's. the trolly ran to oneonta all the way from utica

  • It was cool to see my town from a newcomers view :D

  • :D OMG. I love this video! Few points:

I remeber the construction on that ramp

That spinning sign. Ah, memories, I had reletives up the road near that. Its a Sunaco now, no spinning signs :(

6:49 Hospital. Same one I was born in :3

Shirt co. My friend's dad owns that. :)

Country Buffet. LOL, that closed down due to copyright. Its an Ice Crea mplace, but that TOO has closed :P

Fox care a mall? Like that'll happen XD lol I laughed so hard.

  • hahaha, I used to work at the pub years ago lol - autum cafe is a cool hippie place. Cool video.

  • @PotterNarnianDork101

The Autumn cafe! I love that place! I love it when the cafe host the band "The Big Takeover." Ask your Dad if they can come back to and start their show at 7pm instead of 10pm because I go to work at 10pm and miss them every time.

  • This was very entertaining. I definitely like your sense of humor. I am far from religious myself but I respect the beliefs of anyone that doesn't force theirs upon me. :) I am curious, though, what kind of church are you opening, (or may have already opened, and if so, where?)? I wouldn't mind meeting both of you, and I hope you're enjoying Oneonta!

  • I live in Tulsa, OK, but was raised and grew up in Oneonta. If you taken a left at the "big castle" you saw over the railroad tracks, you would have driven passed where I lived. lol Fun video, awesome place to live, super close to baseball hall of fame (Cooperstown). I miss it!

  • @alvin8951 :- life there is much similaar to movie american pie and so i agree with u true much ... ;-)

  • im seventh day adventist and nothing else so i go to church on saturdays not sunday it is the way i was rasied

  • @SuicidalSippycup "There's not a single instance in history where hate has brought joy to human beings. It's a negative force that serves only to destroy those who hold it in their mind and body. If the majority of humanity released all hate, fear, and resentment, wars would disappear from our planet." Rhonda Byrne

  • Congratulations on your church PastorKaler :) My grandparents lived on River Street for 50 years. Small world!

  • no, i dont believe in god or jesus. your not going to trick me into believing your crazy religion. i went to catholic school till i was 11. it was a waste of my time.
