i disagree i don't think mj needed grant 2 get the 1st 3 peat. he could of won it w/ a guy like otis thorpe, buck williams, oakley,brian grant,charles smith or any other solid pf during that era, that guy would just need 2 learn phils triangle system & that's it. plus of course grant & rodman were better rebounders they played the inside game pf & centers r always going 2 b better rebounders than 2 guards but mj is 1 of the best rebounding 2 guards in nba history.

I'm sure MJ pissed him off at some point with a comment along the lines of "you wouldn't have been shit without me." And he would've been right. Horace's job was to go sit under the basket, wait for MJ and Pip to break the defense down, make cupcake layups and gimme dunks, and get 7-8 rebounds a game. Very cool of a guy to stand up & speak his mind instead of caving in to all the MJ marketing. Air Jordan was incredible but Kobe is too. Kobe is a great part of a triangle offense. Is either one better than Bill Russell? Or Chamberlain?
