wen u say antidepressants, do u mean mood stablizers, cause thats wat u should be gone, antidepressants make bipolar people worse

I'm on geodon and absolutely hate it. It makes me feel slow sluggish not motivated and not like my usual self. I'm depressed on it too. I'm hopefully switching meds next Thursday.

Thanks Booger for your video. I have bipolar depression and I am still dealing with being diagnosed with it. I don't even want people outside my family to know as yet. I find it really brave of you to do this. I hope to one day be able to share my story

Firstly you should get tested by your doctor to establish if you have the genetic capacity to take these drugs, many people are simply missing the enzymes in these genes in their liver to benefit from the drug and many are at high risk from the adverse reactions. also get your Dr to check your Vit D, levels and magnesium most people suffering depressive symptoms have numerous mineral and vitamin deficiency, something pharma and psychs dont want people to know get tested NOW

first of all, i'm bipolar too, and i don't agree that meds are bad for you. in fact, they can help many people. just becuase you get bad side effects from one drug, does not mean that another person may get the same. everyone metabolilzes medicines different, and everyone's bipolar is more servere or less severe. lithium can cause weight gain, and for me, that's the WORST part.

I never gained weight on lithium, but I did on remeron.
