He was never downright cruel to anyone personally. Granted, he was a bitter and lonesome elitist with pro-segregation views, but he showed generosity and kindness to those who sought his friendship and guidance. He befriended some admirers so thoroughly that they worked their entire lives following his untimely death to promote his life's work.
Howard was a flawed person, but he was NOT a terrible one.

@Bragnanymous Different than me? This is a perfect stereotyping of our limit as humans. If anything he/she is an archetype of normality.
Long Live the Post-Biologic revolution!

@IzzyIsou That's a weird outpouring of pointless bile toward someone who doesn't know you, hasn't harmed you in any way, or done anything to you. Does it just make you mad that people who are different from you exist?

I'll give five bucks to the person who can spot the totally out-of-place pretentious prag who muddies up this awesome documentary, I'll give you a hint...
"It's the bitch!"

I believe that Lovecraft wrote of reasons why his father could have gone mad.

Oh, Caitlin, what a hipster you are. A transexual lesbian Wiccan who had an "indie" band. And did you need to do your interview in a cemetery? Oh, and I love the "when I talk to paleontologists". I wonder what Lovecraft would have thought of you. I bet he would think the same as me: that you're a hipster poser and this world has way too many of you.

Have you tried the superb books by Robert M Price: 'The new lovecraft circle' & Ramsay Campbell, "Tales of the lovecraft mythos" & "Ashes & others H.P. lovecraft & divers hands". Another excellent book by R. M. Price is, ' The reason driven life '

@KajiCarson I agree with you, he was a racist and a anti-semite but when WWII came around he felt sympathetic to those who were suffering
So, any new documentary on the works?

Is this DVD only limited to the American region? Because im from Europe and would love to get this DVD since im a huge Lovecraft fan!

@MortosSoulStealer Regrettably it is only available in the American region (Region 1) on DVD. We're pressing our distributor to address this issue especially since there are so many people like yourself who live in Europe and want to see the documentary.
That said... I know the Blu-Ray version is Region 0 (all regions) and people have been able to play the Blu-Ray in Ireland and England.
Our distrib is also working on making the film avail for download. We'll keep you posted on that.
