Here is Shawn Lane with DDT playing "One Note at a Time", at Newby's, Memphis, TN, on the 27th Jan 1995.

D.D.T. was a band Shawn played with between 1994-1995 that consisted of :
Luther Dickinson - guitar
Cody Dickinson - drums
Paul Taylor - bass

DDT took their name from the initials of the three band member sirnames (two of them being brothers). DDT later became "North Mississippi Allstars"... Shawn played on 3 tracks on their 2003 album "Polaris".

  • at 2:51 it sounds like sweeping but it's not because i think he picks every string ..

  • @SweeetPicker Yeah he picks every string/note in that bit. :)

  • Ah Ooooo ~♪ Oooo~♪

I love Shawn's singing. Miss you great one. (;_;)

  • @lovekurt Bless you Q..... yeah, lovely singing, i think we all miss him! :-)

  • I know it's very cheesy thing to say, but if I ever get married, I know it for sure that I'll be playing this song on my wedding. (and Tri-7/5 and The Hurt and The Joy, and...)

Even though I never got to meet him, I miss him every day big time... =(

  • I DO!

    jk... sorry, couldn't resist! :-D

Yeah, i know what you mean, this song has just the right mix of emotions to be perfect to get married to.

  • beautiful song :)

  • wait....this looks like his ibanez ghost rider......but with a whammy?

  • one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. in the album version for tritone fascination, he puts in some sort of ocarina in it.

  • @MyShawnLaneVideos I think the song is called "one not at a time" because shawn lane didn't like how the "sweeping technic" sounds like, and in this video, it sounds like sweeping, you might think that he is using the "sweeping" technic but it's not ! It's why the song is called like that ... I think he wanted to tell something to us like "You have all the time you want, don't go so fast, just one note at a time."

    I may be wrong, but it's possible : )

And excuse my english ! i'm french 8-)

  • I love listening this song at work, my days are awesome now !

  • i love this video perfect quality to see his guitar which has a hot rail in the middle position which i haven't seen before in such quality.

this is one of the first songs i ever heard of shawns and i still love it to this day.
