im 18yo and he inspired me about 5 or 6 yrs ago to learn the melodeon...he still inspires me evrytim i listen to him play

John won't mind me saying that Jimmy Shand originally developed this configuration - B/C/C# with Stradella bass - with Hohner. John had the '7ths' row removed on his Orfeo because they got in the way!
John is the country's (the world's?) leading diatonic accordion player - plays a mean Anglo concertina, too!
Way back in 1969 he inspired me to learn to play the accordion properly when I heard him play 'Blaze Away' in the Beach Store, Sidmouth...
