the rolling cage only moved in 90 degree increments. gravity hack at 0:19 was all astaire :)

The room was built inside a rotating cylinder. The camera man was strapped on to the cylinder. As the room rotated the camera man rotated with it. Simple.

Appreciated the deconstruction of the production number, but the overdubbed music was extremely inappropriate & distracting.... why not keep the original score???

Best special effect are actually really simple. What a great idea in this case. CGI kind of killing that magic.

Thank you for this! I had never been able to spot all of the turns in this number before. And of course, who else but the master could pull off dancing on the ceiling?

i don't like how you tilted the camera because it distracted me, but fred astaires dancing was amazing! FRED ASTAIRE ROCKS!

Thank you, I was hoping someone had posted a video like this! I'm happy to say that this deconstruction doesn't make his dancing seem any less spectacular.
