A Dutch car brand started in 1860. Than known a 'Spijker'. In 1903 the name changed to the more international sounding 'Spyker' because the 60HP-model would be selled international. It was the first 6cilinder and first 4WD car ever. Because of WO-I Spyker changed from making cars to making plains for the army. Thats when Spyker introduced the slogan 'Nulla tenaci invia est via'. (Who keeps fighting will always find the road.) In 1999 a Dutch miljonair bought the name 'Spyker' and in 2004 the first Spyker where again made. Now after a hard year (Formula 1) Spyker is back with the new C8 LWB, D8, C8 Aileron (the new C8).

  • You're right it wasn't 1860, but it wasn't 1898 eighter. They officially started in 1880 building cars In 1898 they got there first fully running fabric. :)
