im in OSUMB umm.. actually many people did applaud. i did. also, it wasn't like anything breathtaking was played and we won't stand up and go crazy.. just.. doesnt happen, we treat it like a concert.

and there isn't sportsmanship in band.. respect yes.. OU was treated with respect and was given their moment to shine. i love stand up and cheer, but once OU gets on the field the sound dies.i wish i could hear the same band on the field that i hear sitting down, it would be a world of difference

I was sitting in C-deck (see my other video) and I could hear the 110 loud and clear. I AM still wondering why we continue to be the only MAC school that is denied playing time during half-time...

@Jagluvr19 isn't that how the high school bands work, where the football goes the band goes. I go to OU and no one was happy when out of 230 band members, only 70 got to go to boise for the potato bowl.

3rd don't get me started on only have 77 members of the 110 go to boise leaving over 150 at home.

@OUred110 You guys aren't the only MAC school that get's denied playing time. Akron's band doesn't even get an invite..FACT! and compared to the rest of the MAC, in football, our team only get's invited to OSU half as much too. I know our band isn't really in the same league as OU and OSU, but when the football team get's an invite...shouldn't the band too?? I guess that's the treatment you get when you own OSU in every sport other than football and basketball.

@jibucks: Maybe you'd like to come try our style of marching I guarantee it's more of a challenge. It's a unique style known only to the 110. Chair stepping may be difficult, but in the end, the marching style of the 110 overcomes it. Plus, our rearbacks are bigger.

The choreography you guys did of Thriller, that's great and all, but anyone can do it and for the record, most bands do. We played Thriller this previous season as well. BIG DEAL. And we stand and sway because it sets up the dance!

@TheTailsthefox OSU's Style is more difficult. Pregame is done with 90% marching at 180 bpm with a high chair step. Halftime shows have marching for nearly all songs while playing with excellence, not simply standing around or dancing(which actually OSU did a choreographed routine to Thriller this past season). OU tends to plant for a good portion of its shows with blatty sounds and with everyone swaying in different directions. OU is a good band but there is a reason that TBDBITL stuck.

@jibucks OSU's sound quality may be louder than ours simply because your marching style is way easier (and I'll agree boring) and because the Marching 110 does a dance routine at every performance. It's a workout, but that's why we are so good. Because we are FUN and enjoyable to watch. Besides, OSU's band is all brass and percussion. It's too lazer-like whereas the Marching 110 has woodwinds to balance out the sound.

OSU's band is good, but what's the point if it isn't entertaining?
