4:13 Johnny Williams speech - St.Louis Blues / 5:29 I Love You /
F.Hoffmann - It was my favourite band - how often we have been together at their concerts in Germany, particularly in West-Berlin, at my flat seeing videos and lot of speeches or in their Hotel rooms. The always political interested Bobby Williams, the very "black"-proud Gene Rodgers; speeches w. Tommy Benton about the years in Chicago and Jabbo Smith, the very jazz-history interested Georgie James and Eddie Durham last one read hours in my books JAZZ ADVERTISED particularly about all things of the all girls band; long speeches with Johnny Williams, Al Casey, Lawrence Lucie about the old days with Red Allen, particularly Red´s less known work with the Charlie Johnson band Oct. 1932-March 1933 - a hard jumping band like the Basie Band 3 three later and they swinged without piano whilst Charlie played downstairs billard. All three were weeping when the saw such early films on video with her idol the young lovely Lena Horne or the Fats Waller soundies. They always have been a family.
