@1234istheman hate to tell you buddy but the real nascar engines have a 365 cubic inch rule. chevy runs 3.250 crank with a 6.250 rod which is not a 383 dipshit. more like a 358 or a 362 depending on the bore learn something before you post. if you wanna learn hit me up and i will school your dumb ass
@1234istheman its not even a 383 you dumb bastard they run a stroker motor but definitly not a 383 doctor dipshit its closer to a destroked 400 than anything try reading about something dipshit
@apv92 Yeaaaa...no. NHRA Motors run 500ci motor and 8,000 horse power and run 1,000 feet instead of 1/4 mile. NASCAR runs a 383 stroker motor putting out around 850 horsepower
@transam0141 Thing is that since a drag car/motorcycle doesn't turn they can have all of that HP. Plus they rebuild the engines after every run while a NASCAR engine last as long as 600 miles (normally 400 or 500) plus practice and qualifying. Both have the same idea to make as much power for only the amount of time that they need it. But, it's amazing that NHRA can make that much HP out of push rod V8s and same goes for NASCAR engine shops building push rod V8s pushing just over 9,000 RPM.
@apv92 your about 5,000 horespower of on the nhra car depending on which ones your talkin about and they run to a thousand feet now instead of a quarter mile
@ alipontiac... The Difference is a NHRA motor puts out 3,000 Horsepower and a NASCAR motor puts out 700 Horse power. NHRA can't run longer than 1/4 mile where as NASCAR can go as long as the race allows.
