i made a quick vid with some sequence breaks that are still possible in the wii version of metroid prime.
- first clip is the furnace spider ball tracks. i don't have the spider ball right now but using a BSJ (with spring ball here) you can reach the hole and get to the ice beam room without spider. the original way was to use a clipping glitch with the spider track but that was fixed.
- second clip is just reaching the bomb slot with space jumps. exactly the same as in the gc version (the slot was off because i had used it already)
- third clip shows one of the negative changes to prevent sequence breaking. normally you jump on the stone toad to reach the ledge that leads to the ice beam room but they disabled the jump button when you step on the enemy now. so i have to do the puzzle instead to climb up there (fun fact: i solved this puzzle for the first time in this version)
- fourth clip has the legendary great tree bars bomb jump. i did it the same way it is done in the gc version but i think it can be done with the spring ball too. after that, i enter phazon mines.
- fifth clip shows the crane jump to enter the mines through the ice door. this trick uses a ghetto jump off the structure i jump from to reach the crane's top and then go to the door. after that, i do the puzzle with spring ball and then show the old trick to get to the grapple beam room (too bad it is blocked with benzium)
- sixth clip shows that you can still climb that tower with spider ball tracks without the spider ball. i also show that the elevator invisible platform is still there.
- seventh clip shows another bad change. this one affect everyone even if they don't do sequence breaks. you can no longer kill ice pirates with freeze+missile combo like you could before.
- eigth clip shows how the charge beam shots can be fired faster now, like in mp3. it makes the enemies much easier since you can have them stunned all the time.
- last clip shows how to enter the secret world used to reach ice beam before flaahgra in the gc version. they weren't bothered to cover that hole up there or to remove the plants it seems. it could be possible to do the trick again if you manage to get the space jump before flaahgra (there's an old method that might work but is too hard for me)
there's plenty more sequence breaks that can still be done but i didn't record them because i made this vid quick and i was lucky to have a save just after getting ice beam.
In the first sequence break I'm trying to morph out of the ball and jump up. I've done only a few times, but I apparently can't figure out how I did it. What exactly do you do to perform it? Button presses, timing, etc. I have the US version, so I can't get up there anyway, but I'd still like to know how.

@CyroXero the devs put an invisible wall there inthe US version. you're out of luck.

@PiccoloCube Yeah, but still I'd like to know how to do the jump itself.

@CyroXero that's a bomb space jump. it works by jumping right after the instant unmorph after a bomb jump/spring jump.

can you do a video showing sequence breaks in metroid prime 2 for wii? That would be great.

@xCYBERKIDx you can check my latest speed run of mp2 for sequence breaks possible there. there's more but i use the bigger ones that are still possible and that version is identical everywhere.
