3 Questions:
1.I'm just learning. With the front kick, I have a tendency to kick the ball away from me (out, not up) What do you suggest?
2. Many Rod Laver Shoes to choose from, is it a "can't go wrong" selection just a color preference or should I stay away from a certain type like leather or a certain version?
3. What do you think about Dragon Droppings (aluminum rings) footbags and pellet filled footbags (like Hemph) vs. sand filled?
Thanks
I just got two Sandmaster 8 panel bags. Are they good for beginners? I am a juggler who is wanting to learn some footbag to incorporate into my juggling skills. To juggle with feet and with hands together.

Sand bags are some of the best footbags for stalling. These bags also work well for beginners. Avoid any rock hard bags, a hard bag is not good for much.

Hi skillteacher, props! You are amazing, guy!
Quick question on foot position inside shoes...
For the front kick, is it important how you hold your toes at contact with the bag? Seems like the tendency is to flex the toes up towards the knee.
Is it better to have the toes flat and in line with the top of the foot?
If you have the "right" shoe, does it even make a difference?

Lifting the big toe up will give more of an angle for the inside kick and the clipper kick The more of an angle with the foot, the easier these kicks will be
When I play freestyle with some of the best footbaggers in the world I have noticed that they have the ability to really angle their foot in this way
It essentially means that the bag will be less likely to slip off when they do inside stalls or clipper stalls

So, I might as well try and fizind some Rod Lavers?

Yes! The proper tools make the difficult skills easier to learn and use. I suggest trying to custom order a pair of Lavers from a sports store since they can be hard to find in stock.
