masallah good answer by brother nabeel. people have to realise not every single hadith is credible and authetntic. some came upto 300 years after the prophets lifetime. and i personally find this hadith to be very ridiculous, if it was a major sin on par with murder and adultery allaw swt would of mentioned it in the quran. its time people started thinking for themselves and started using abit of common sense and logic.

@m0dsar3us i agree brother, those hadiths especially have made me laugh. those hadiths sounds like a bunch of scholars back in the days just trying to control the muslim people by making stupid fatwas etc. and ppl have to realises not every single hadith is authentic and credible. and this painting one is especially ridiculous lol being a good muslims, making salat, reading quran but no u drew a picture so your going to eternal hellfire hahah some people really do need to get some common sense

Suphanallah..... He first says prophet sal allahu alayhi wa salaam says such and such, and then Fulan al fadhl said such and such, and then he goes with the answer of al Fadhl!!!! This is the most shocking thing I have seen recently, taking someone elses speech above the Sunnah, A´udhu billah! Who cares what this guy says, ya muslimeen, we have an answer from RasulAllah himself.......

@mod3 thank you for the nice collection of Quran refs. It can be so disheartening trying to get 'muslims' to open their hearts and minds to the simple message of the Quran, they always think it HAS to more complicated for some reason, I think they feel more 'religious' that way. Salams to all.

@ValleyOfMecca I'm disrespecting the Prophet(s) because I follow The Quran, & dismiss hadiths that contradict The Quran?
You sound like a wahabi...calm down there, extremist.
The Quran says ONLY ALLAH can make things lawful, or unlawful...and The Quran is CLEAR!
So, when I come across a "hadith" banning music, or dogs as pets, or drawing pictures, I dismiss them - why? Because they contradict what The Quran teaches.
Let there be no compulsion in Islam...

It really says something when I can cite from The Quran exactly why I have a certain viewpoint, but all you can do is attempt to make a mockery of me, & tell me how I'm not a Muslim...I'll live fine with your opinion.

I'm not asking for your approval, or whatever...
I'm Muslim - no sect, just as Quran, AND the Prophet, orders.
While I've been able to cite from God's Word, The Quran, evidence to back my claims, you're relying on name-calling, degrading, & hearsay.
Not so "Muslim" if you ask me...
